🙍‍♂️Moderators

Overview

Community Moderators play a vital role in maintaining the health and vibrancy of our platform's communities. They have various responsibilities and powers to ensure that the community remains engaging, safe, and organized.

Becoming a Moderator

  • Default Moderator: When a user creates a new community, they automatically become the default moderator of that community.

  • Adding/Removing Moderators: The default moderator, along with other moderators, can add or remove multiple moderators to help manage the community effectively.

Moderator Responsibilities and Powers

  1. Adding/Removing Moderators

    • Moderators have the authority to add new moderators or remove existing ones. This helps in distributing the moderation tasks and ensuring that there are always active moderators available to manage the community.

  2. Removing Posts

    • Moderators can remove posts that violate community guidelines or are deemed inappropriate. This helps in keeping the community content relevant and safe for all members.

  3. Sticky Posts

    • Moderators have the ability to "sticky" posts. Sticky posts are displayed at the top of the community page, ensuring that important announcements or highlighted content is easily accessible to all community members.

Future Development: Community Governance

We are excited to announce that in future development, we will be introducing governance features for each community. This will allow community members to vote for their moderators, making the process more democratic and ensuring that the selected moderators truly represent the community's interests.
